Healthy dog… happy dog!
To ensure the safety and well-being of all our guests we require the each dog meets the following health requirements.
- All dogs MUST have proof of current vaccinations prior to entering our facility. Bordetella [kennel cough] is required along with Rabies and DHL/Parvo vaccinations per vet recommendation. We prefer that your vet fax these documents directly to us in advance of your dog’s visit.
- A current Pennsylvania dog license is required.
- Dogs must be on a monthly topical flea prevention program, such as Advantage or Frontline.
- All dogs age seven months and older MUST be spayed or neutered prior to entering our facility.
Medication for Guest Pets
Dogs who have special medical needs can usually be accommodated and do exceptionally well because of the constant attention we provide. Mejimo Kennels will be happy to administer your dog’s medications. Please provide specific instructions along with the necessary meds.
- Oral medications are adminstered at no extra fee.
- Injections are an addition $2.00 fee per day.
Safety Requirements
- We appreciate your dog being on a leash in our parking area and lobby. In consideration of our boarding guests, please do not walk your dog near the fenced play yards. Our facility is surrounded by private property — please refrain from exploring the grounds outside the parking area.
- No one under the age of 15 is permitted to enter the kennel building.
- Unfortunately we cannot accept certain breeds. These breeds include but are not limited to Pit Bulls and Rottweilers.
